Anabela Gonçalves é atualmente Vice-Presidente e Professora Associada da Escola de Direito
da Universidade do Minho. É ainda: Diretora do Gabinete de Saídas Profissionais; membro do
Conselho Científico da Escola da Escola de Direito, membro da Comissão do Curso da
Licenciatura em Direito, membro da Comissão Diretiva do Mestrado em Direito das Crianças,
Família e Sucessões e da Comissão Diretiva do LLM in European and Transglobal Business Law.
Anabela Susana de Sousa Gonçalves é doutorada em Ciências Jurídico-Privatísticas pela Escola
de Direito (ED) da Universidade do Minho (2012), Mestre em Ciências Jurídico-Empresariais
pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra (2003), licenciada em Direito pela
Escola de Direito da Universidade do Minho (1999).
Anabela Gonçalves tem sido desde 2014 nomeada perita da Comissão Europeia para avaliar os
projetos de financiamento submetidos à Comissão no âmbito do programa JUSTICE, incluindo
projetos no âmbito da cooperação judiciária em material civil, e foi nomeada pela Comissão
Europeia para o Grupo de Peritos para a Revisão do Regulamento n.º 2201/2003 sobre
Competência Internacional e Reconhecimento de decisões em matéria matrimonial e de
responsabilidade parental. Atualmente, é ainda membro do European Research Council, como
avaliadora, por nomeação da Comissão Europeia.

Internacional Privado; Processo Civil Internacional; Cooperação Judiciária em Matéria Civil e
Comercial, Proteção de Dados.

Anabela Gonçalves is currently Vice President and Associated Professor at the Law School of
the University of Minho. She is also: Director of the Professional Departments Office; member
of the Scientific Council of the Law School, member of the Law Degree Course Directing
Committee, member of the Master's on Children's, Family and Succession Law Directing
Committee and the LLM in European and Transglobal Business Law Directing Committee.
Anabela Susana de Sousa Gonçalves holds a PhD in Legal-Privatistic Sciences from the Law
School (ED) of the University of Minho (2012), a Master in Legal and Business Sciences from
the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (2003), and is graduated in Law from the
School of Law at the University of Minho (1999).
Anabela Gonçalves has been appointed expert of the European Commission since 2014 to
evaluate the financing projects submitted to the Commission under the JUSTICE program,
including projects within the scope of judicial cooperation in civil material, and was appointed
by the European Commission to the Group of Experts for the Revision of Regulation No.
2201/2003 on International Competence and Recognition of decisions in matrimonial matters
and parental responsibility. Currently, she is also a member of the European Research Council,
as an evaluator, appointed by the European Commission.
